What Are the Common Causes of a Rough Idle in My Suzuki Bolan?

When my Suzuki Bolan is idling, it tends to shake o r run unevenly, causing a rough idle. What are the typical causes of a rough idle in the engine, and how can I fix it to make the engine run smoothly?

A rough idle in your Suzuki Bolan could be caused by several factors affecting the engines idle speed o r the air-fuel mixture:

Dirty Fuel Injectors: Dirty o r clogged fuel injectors can disrupt the smooth flow of fuel to the engine, causing rough idling.

Vacuum Leaks: A vacuum leak in the intake manifold o r related hoses can cause the engine to idle roughly because it disrupts the air-fuel mixture entering the engine.

Faulty Idle Air Control Valve: The idle air control valve IAC regulates the idle speed. If it’s faulty o r dirty, it can lead to an unstable o r rough idle.

Dirty Throttle Body: A dirty throttle body can affect the amount of air entering the engine, causing an uneven idle.

Worn Spark Plugs: Worn-out spark plugs can cause uneven combustion, leading to a rough idle.

Fuel Pressure Issues: Low fuel pressure o r a malfunctioning fuel pump can result in inadequate fuel delivery to the engine, causing rough idling.

Solution: Start by cleaning o r replacing the fuel injectors and inspecting the vacuum hoses for leaks. Clean the throttle body and the idle air control valve. Replace worn spark plugs and check the fuel system for pressure issues.
