The “Transmission Malfunction” warning light can indicate a serious issue requiring immediate attention.

✅ Possible Reasons:

Low Transmission Fluid Pressure – If fluid levels too low, gears won’t engage properly.
Transmission Control Unit TCU Failure – Faulty electronics may cause gear selection issues.
Overheating Transmission – When the transmission gets too hot, it may enter limp mode to prevent further damage.
Faulty Transmission Sensors – A defective speed sensor o r pressure sensor can send incorrect signals to the transmission.
🔹 How to Fix It:

Use an OBD-II scanner to check for error codes P0700, P0730, etc..
Inspect transmission fluid levels and change if necessary.
Reset the Transmission Control Unit TCU if software-related issues are suspected.
If overheating is detected, let the transmission cool down and check the cooling system.
