What’s Causing My Suzuki Bolan’s Steering to Make Noise While Turning?

I hear creaking o r knocking sounds when I turn the steering wheel, especially when turning at low speeds o r over bumps. Could this be a worn-out steering component, o r is it related to the suspension? How can I identify the exact issue?

Creaking, knocking, o r popping noises while turning are often due to:

Worn o r dry suspension parts, such as ball joints o r tie rod ends.

Loose o r damaged steering linkage.

Steering rack mount problems.

Cracked o r worn-out bushes in the suspension o r steering system.

This issue is very common in Pakistan due to bad roads, potholes, and load-carrying use of Bolan vans. A mechanic can diagnose this by lifting the van and inspecting steering/suspension joints.
