Why Are My Power Door Locks Making a Clicking Sound but Not Locking in Suzuki Bolan?

Why Are My Power Door Locks Making a Clicking Sound but Not Locking in Suzuki Bolan?

When I press the button o r use the remote, I hear a clicking sound, but the locks don’t move. What causes this? Could the motor be stuck o r the mechanism jammed inside the door?

A clicking sound without lock movement usually means the actuator is receiving power, but the mechanical movement is jammed. Possible causes:

Worn-out actuator gears

Rust o r debris in the lock mechanism

Misalignment between the actuator and lock rod

In Pakistan’s dusty conditions, this happens frequently, especially in vehicles without inner door shields. Removing the door panel and cleaning o r replacing the actuator usually fixes the issue.
