Why Does My Suzuki Bolan Experience Poor Fuel Efficiency? Could It Be a Clogged Fuel Filter?

I’ve noticed that my Suzuki Bolan is consuming more fuel than usual, and the engine feels sluggish. I suspect that the fuel filter might be clogged. Is a clogged fuel filter a common problem in the Bolan, and can it affect fuel efficiency significantly?

Yes, a clogged fuel filter can significantly affect fuel efficiency. The fuel filter is responsible for filtering out dirt, debris, and other contaminants from the fuel before it reaches the engine. If it becomes clogged, the engine receives less fuel, o r the fuel flow becomes inconsistent, leading to poor combustion. This results in reduced engine performance and increased fuel consumption. In Suzuki Bolan, this is a common issue, especially for older vehicles o r those running on low-quality fuel. Its recommended to replace the fuel filter every 20,000–30,000 kilometers, depending on usage and fuel quality in Pakistan.
