Why does my Suzuki Bolan make a whining noise near the water pump area?

Why does my Suzuki Bolan make a whining noise near the water pump area?

There’s a strange whining o r squealing noise coming from the front of the engine. A mechanic said it might be the water pump bearing going bad. Is this a known issue in older Bolan models? How can I confirm if the water pump is the source?

Worn Water Pump Bearings: If the bearings inside the water pump are wearing out, they can produce a whining o r high-pitched noise.

Loose o r Damaged Serpentine Belt: A loose o r worn serpentine belt can cause the water pump pulley to wobble, leading to noise.

Misaligned Components: Misalignment of the water pump, pulleys, o r belts can cause unusual noises during engine operation.

Recommendation: Have the serpentine belt, water pump bearings, and related components inspected. Replacing worn parts promptly can prevent further damage.
