Why does my Suzuki Bolan pull to one side when braking – are the brake pads to blame?

Why does my Suzuki Bolan pull to one side when braking – are the brake pads to blame?

Whenever I apply brakes, the van slightly pulls to the left side. It’s more noticeable at higher speeds. Someone told me it could be uneven brake pad wear o r a caliper problem. How can I confirm this, and what’s the solution?

Yes, brake pads can be part of the problem, but it may also involve other components:

Uneven wear on the brake pads — one side is gripping more than the other.

Sticking brake caliper on one side.

Air in the brake lines, causing uneven pressure.

Brake drum o r shoe misalignment, especially in older o r poorly maintained vehicles.

To diagnose the issue, a mechanic will need to inspect both pads and calipers. They might clean, lubricate, o r replace the caliper piston and check the wheel alignment just in case. Fixing this is important to avoid accidents o r uneven tire wear.
