Why Does My Suzuki Bolan Struggle to Start in the Morning? Could It Be Spark Plug Issues?

Lately, my Bolan has been taking longer to start, especially early in the morning o r during cold weather. The battery is fine, and the fuel pump seems okay. Could worn o r dirty spark plugs be causing hard starts? How common is this issue in Pakistans climate?

Yes, worn-out o r dirty spark plugs can cause hard starting, especially in cold weather. Spark plugs are responsible for igniting the air-fuel mixture in the engine. If they are carbon-fouled, worn, o r have weakened spark, the combustion process won’t start smoothly. This is a common issue in Pakistan, particularly in older Bolan models o r those running on CNG. Cold weather can make this worse due to increased difficulty in fuel vaporization. Replacing the spark plugs and checking the plug gap can solve this issue. It’s advisable to inspect them every 10,000–15,000 km.
