Why Does My Suzuki Bolan Take Too Long to Start in the Morning? Could It Be a Sensor Issue?

The van takes a long time to start in the morning o r after sitting for several hours. Once started, it runs fine. Could a faulty coolant temperature sensor o r intake air temperature sensor be causing poor cold starts?

Yes, delayed starting—especially in the morning—can be linked to a faulty:

Coolant Temperature Sensor CTS

Intake Air Temperature Sensor IAT

These sensors help the ECU adjust the fuel mixture for a cold engine. If they give wrong readings:

The engine may receive too little o r too much fuel

It may crank for long o r need multiple self-start attempts

This issue is common in areas with colder mornings like Murree o r Abbottabad, and especially in vans using CNG, which is harder to ignite cold. Replacing the faulty sensor usually solves the problem.
