Why does my Suzuki Mehran smell like fuel — could the purge control valve be leaking?

I’ve noticed a strong fuel smell around my Suzuki Mehran, especially after driving for a while. Could this be related to a leaking purge control valve, and how dangerous is it to drive with this issue? What steps should I take to fix it?

Yes, if your Suzuki Mehran smells like fuel, it could be due to a leaking purge control valve. This can cause fuel vapors to escape and make the car emit a fuel-like odor. A damaged valve may also allow fuel vapors to enter the intake manifold, leading to increased emissions. It’s dangerous to drive with this issue, as it can affect engine performance and even cause fire hazards. Have the valve inspected and replaced if its leaking.
