Why Is My Suzuki Bolan Battery Draining Quickly? Could It Be the Alternator?

I’ve noticed that my Suzuki Bolans battery is draining faster than usual, and the lights seem dimmer than normal. I’ve had the battery checked, but it seems fine. Could the alternator be the cause of this issue? How can I confirm if the alternator is failing, and what should I do next?

Yes, the alternator could be the cause of your battery draining quickly. The alternator is responsible for charging the battery while the engine is running. If the alternator is failing, it may not be supplying enough power to recharge the battery, causing the battery to drain faster than usual.

Signs of a failing alternator include:

Dim o r flickering headlights.

Battery warning light on the dashboard.

Electrical accessories e.g., radio, air conditioning not working properly.

Weak battery o r trouble starting the car.

To confirm if it’s the alternator, you can check the voltage using a multimeter a healthy alternator should show about 13.5–14.5 volts when the engine is running. If the voltage is lower, it could indicate a failing alternator. If you suspect an issue, its best to take your Bolan to a mechanic for a professional diagnosis.
