Why Is My Suzuki Bolan Consuming Too Much Engine Oil?

I’ve noticed that my Suzuki Bolan needs frequent engine oil top-ups, even though I changed the oil recently. There’s no visible oil leak, but the oil level s faster than expected. What could be causing this? Is high oil consumption a common problem with older Bolans in Pakistan?

Excessive oil consumption in your Suzuki Bolan can be caused by several factors:

Worn-out piston rings o r valve seals: These components help keep oil where it belongs, and if theyre worn out, oil can leak into the combustion chamber and burn off.

Old engine: As the engine ages, parts wear down, leading to oil consumption. In Pakistan, the harsh road conditions and frequent stop-and-go traffic can accelerate this process.

Improper maintenance: If the engine oil wasn’t changed at regular intervals o r was of poor quality, this can contribute to increased oil consumption.

Driving habits: Frequent high-revving o r extended idling can burn more oil.

Solution: You may need to check the condition of the piston rings, valve seals, and other engine components. An engine compression test can help diagnose internal wear. Make sure to use the right oil grade and keep up with regular maintenance.
