Why Is My Suzuki Bolan’s Engine Overheating?

Recently, I have noticed that the engine of my Suzuki Bolan is overheating frequently, especially after driving for a long distance. What are the common reasons for this, and how can I fix the issue to prevent engine damage?

Engine overheating is a common issue, and several factors could be contributing to this in your Suzuki Bolan:

Low Coolant Levels: One of the most common causes of overheating is low coolant levels in the radiator. If the coolant level is too low, it will not be able to effectively absorb and dissipate heat from the engine.

Coolant Leak: A leak in the cooling system can cause a in coolant levels. Common places for leaks include radiator hoses, the radiator itself, o r the water pump. Check for signs of leaking coolant under the vehicle o r around the engine.

Thermostat Malfunction: The thermostat regulates the flow of coolant through the engine. If it becomes stuck in the closed position, it will prevent the coolant from circulating, leading to overheating.

Faulty Radiator Fan: If the radiator fan isn’t working properly, it will fail to cool the radiator when the engine is hot. This can result in overheating, especially in stop-and-go traffic.

Clogged Radiator: Over time, debris o r sediment can clog the radiator, impairing its ability to cool the engine. A blocked radiator can prevent efficient heat dissipation, causing the engine to overheat.

Water Pump Failure: The water pump circulates coolant throughout the engine. If it fails, the coolant won’t circulate, and the engine will overheat.

Solution: Check the coolant level and top it up if necessary. Inspect for leaks, and if you find any, repair them. Consider replacing the thermostat o r the radiator fan if they are malfunctioning. If the problem persists, get the water pump and radiator inspected by a mechanic.
