Why Is My Suzuki Bolan’s Fuel Economy So Poor, Even After Regular Maintenance?
I’ve been regularly maintaining my Suzuki Bolan by changing the oil, replacing air filters, and checking tire pressure, but I’m still getting poor fuel economy. Could there be something else causing this issue? What other factors in Pakistan’s driving conditions might contribute to increased fuel consumption?

Even with regular maintenance, there are several factors that could still affect fuel economy:
Driving habits: Frequent short trips, excessive idling, o r aggressive driving e.g., rapid acceleration o r high-speed driving can lower fuel efficiency.
Tire pressure: If your tires are underinflated, it increases rolling resistance, leading to higher fuel consumption. Make sure to check tire pressure regularly.
Fuel quality: Poor-quality fuel with higher levels of impurities can reduce engine efficiency. Be mindful of where you buy your fuel.
Excessive weight: Carrying heavy loads o r unnecessary items in the vehicle increases fuel consumption.
Fuel system issues: Problems with the fuel injectors o r fuel pump can cause inefficient fuel usage.
To improve fuel economy, focus on improving driving habits, ensuring proper tire pressure, and considering fuel system maintenance if needed.
