Islamabad Police Issues Traffic Plan for Muharram Procession

The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic plan for the upcoming Muharram processions. The procession is scheduled to take place on July 27th (8th of Muharram) and will span from the Zohar prayer until the Maghrib prayer. The starting point is Jamia Al-Murtaza Imam Bargah on Rohtas Road, G9/4.

From Rohtas Road, the procession will proceed via Service Road South to Ibn-e-Sina-bound Service Road. It will pass through G10/3 Chowk and culminate at Jamia Imam Sadiq Imam Bargah. Consequently, all entry points to this route will remain closed to all traffic during the procession.

The planned route is as follows:



Similarly, there will be a procession in G7, near the Blue Area. To facilitate the smooth flow of the procession, certain roads will be closed to all traffic. These closed roads include Fazl-ul-Haq Road, Luqman Hakim Road, and the roads surrounding Jamia Ali Masjid Zahoor Imam Bargah.
