Isuzu Hits the 6 Million Units Milestone in Production

Isuzu Motors Limited is celebrating a significant production achievement, having officially manufactured its 6-millionth vehicle. The milestone vehicle, a commemorative model, is the new D-Max, elegantly coated in a flaming orange color.

This accomplishment reflects not only the success of Isuzu Motors Limited but also underscores the pivotal role played by Isuzu Thailand, serving as the global hub for D-Max production. Notably, the Isuzu D-Max consistently outperforms its rival, the Toyota Hilux Revo, in Thailand, maintaining this competitive edge over an extended period.

The 6 millionth vehicle, a standard third-generation 2024 D-Max facelift released earlier this year, showcases restyled aesthetics, an updated interior, and advancements in equipment and safety features. The third-generation D-Max, introduced in October 2019, offers versatility with a choice of engines—a 1.9-liter RZ4E turbo-diesel engine producing 148 hp and 350 Nm of torque, or a larger 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX turbo-diesel generating 190 hp and 450 Nm. Both engines can be coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, with the latter option offering 4WD.

This production milestone not only highlights Isuzu's commitment to quality and innovation but also positions the company as a leader in the competitive automotive market. The continued success of the D-Max further solidifies Isuzu's standing in the industry, showcasing their dedication to delivering reliable and high-performance vehicles.
