LHC Inquires About E-Challan System In Lahore

The E-Challan System was introduced in Lahore in September 2018 in collaboration with City Traffic Police CTP and Punjab Safe Cities Authority PSCA. The E-challan system helps in the identification of violations of traffic rules with the help of cameras.

Since its launch, the public has submitted various complaints and also petitions have been filed against this flawed e-challan system in the Lahore High Court LHC.

LHC took the notice against the e-challan system in Lahore in the supervision of Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza and asked counsel to reveal the competency of e-challan system. The counsel failed to give any authentic proof the law on behalf of this new system and LHC, in response, ordered the counsel to present the statement in which LHC allowed to use of e-challans, on record.
