OGRA Rejects Media Reports For Price Increase Summary

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority OGRA has rejected the news and reports surfacing on various media platforms regarding the summary of increasing the prices of petroleum products.

The officials of the OGRA stated that, OGRA has not submitted any request to increase the prices of petrol. The official statement says that the news are speculative and the speculative news could create a destabilization in the purchase of Petroleum products. The OGRA spokesperson further said that media should not spread such speculations.

So, as far the prices of the petroleum products, the prices will remain same till the end of March. Remember that, the news and reports were previously surfacing on the media platforms that OGRA has sent a summary to the Finance Ministry to increase the petrol prices. In response, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill said the price would remain the same. In a tweet, he said that OGRA has suggested Rs6-7 price hike but PM Imran Khan rejected it.
