Over 5000 MG Cars Confirmed Coming to Pakistan

Large number of MG cars is stuck at Karachi port and now it is good news for the buyers that these cars are now going to be released soon on the order of the court under section 81. This section is related to the dispute over valuation of a product between two parties and now in this case, the two parties are Pakistan Customs and MG Motors Pakistan. The cars were stopped because there was difference in their valuation and MG Motors Pakistan filed a case in the court and got the orders to clear the vehicles under section 80. The court has directed MG to submit Pay Order as a guarantee. In case, the Customs wins the case, it would cash the Pay Order and if it does not win the case, MG would get the Pay Orders back.

What is Good for Customers?

The court gives the order that MG cars at Karachi Port would be released and people, who have booked these cars, they would get them soon and it will be great news for the buyers. It is worth noted that the car company would pay the difference and there would be no burden on the buyers of these MG vehicles and there will be no liability on the customers. The consumers are advised to be careful and the companies include these clauses at the end of the delivery forms. The customers need to read it carefully before signing the forms and look for the footnotes.

2nd Great News – Over 5000 MG Cars Coming to Pakistan

There are three banks, which have issued Letter of Credit LC for 5200 MG cars and the sources have claimed that Mezan Bank issued LC for 2600 vehicles and Al Habib and Al-Falah Bank combined have given the LC for about 2600 MG cars.
You can know that LC is the guarantee by the bank to other party and these banks have guaranteed SAIC Motors in China and it would pay for the cars and they can send these units to Pakistan. It is further added that JSW Group paid in cash to these banks for LCs and ensure that new MG units would be made available in Pakistan.
