Pak Suzuki discontinues Swift variants
Instead of the 4 original variants, Suzuki Swift will now be available in only 2 versions. Pak Suzuki made this statement through a letter to its dealers.
After 10th June 2017, the following two Suzuki Swift models will be available:
• Suzuki Swift A/T NAV Satellite Navigation priced @ Rs 1,511,000
• Suzuki Swift DLX M/T Satellite Navigation priced @ Rs 1,375,000
Soon after the announcement of the new Cultus, this announcement was made by Pak Suzuki. The new Suzuki Cultus has better safety features and interior design while it was launched at a higher price. For new Cultus, the prices are Rs. 1,250,000 for VXR and Rs. 1,391,000 for VXL variants. Suzuki decided to discontinue Swift in favor of Cultus as prices of both the models were same.

Following are the vehicles that are currently offered by Pak Suzuki:
• Suzuki Mehran
• Suzuki WagonR
• Suzuki Cultus
• Suzuki Swift
• Suzuki Ciaz
• Suzuki Vitara
• Suzuki Jimny
• Suzuki Bolan
• Suzuki Ravi
In the coming months, supply issues could be faced by the company as the demand of Suzuki’s cars will be increased due to the start of the Orange Taxi Scheme.
Couple of months ago, Pak Suzuki increased the overall price of Suzuki Mehran by Rs. 29,000 after the addition of a new security feature against car theft, named as immobilizer. Weeks after this price increase, the demand in the car increased suddenly.
It is important to note that the previous taxi scheme was the main reason behind most of the profits of Pak Suzuki. Pak Suzuki’s profit declined by 55% after the end of the taxi scheme in the last nine months of 2016 as compared to the last nine months of previous year 2015.
