PORSCHE IS WORKING ON FLYING CARS

Porsche is working on flying cars. The German company is going to release the passenger drone’s design in the nearby future.

The German’s famous car manufacturer Porsche is working on something that has been staple of science fiction movie and human imagination for a long time, flying cars.

According to the German publication automobilewoche, the potential design mockups are being made by the company, which it is going to release in the near future.

The passenger drone won’t require a pilot license for the driver; a simple driver license should be enough. It is because the flight feature for the most part will be under machine control, and it will reduce human error and will make the journey safer.



POTENTIAL TIME SAVINGS

The time and speed saving is enough for alt of people to bear the extra cost of the drone. According to the Porsche sale chief, that the flight via an aircraft between Porsche’s plant in zuffenhausen and Stuttgart takes just three and a half minutes, as compared to around half an hour via road.

Passenger drones are being popping up for quite some time. According to the engadget report the Volkswagen has partnered with the air bus for the flying car concept in august 2017. The car and the wings compartments are separate, with the latter available on demand.

DAIMLER AND VOLVO’S SOLUTION

The competitors Daimler and Volvo are acquiring technologies of their own whereas the Chinese company ehang has shown the video of their two seater drone is going through a tough test. Moreover the company planned to take an international flight of its largely automated drone in 2018.
It is clear that the Porsche that hasn’t got its prototype yet will be facing a huge competition from day one. Keep watching this space for any new development on this front.
