Proton Saga MT Vs Changan Alsvin 1.3L MT: Car Comparison

In this article we are coming with a comparison of newly launched Proton Saga 1.3L MT variant with Changan Alsvin 1.3L MT variant. The Changan Alsvin was launched in January 2021. Here is the comparison of both sedans.

Engine and Transmission

The Proton Saga sedan comes with 1299cc Inline 4-Cylinder DOHC VVT engine producing 95hp and 120Nm torque, on the other side, the Changan is offering 1370cc Inline 4-Cylinder MPFI DOHC DVVT engine with 99hp and 135Nm torque in Changan Alsvin which makes Alsvin prominent. However, both sedans come with 5-Speed Manual Transmission.

Exterior

Proton is offering the Saga sedan with Halogen Headlights while Changan Alsvin has Projector Headlamps with Electric Adjustment. The DRLs are absent in Saga while Alsvin comes with LED, Fog Lamps are absent in both cars. Alsvin has 15-inch Alloy Wheels, while Saga is launched with 14-inch Steel Wheels.

Interior

Thr Proton Saga comes with Hydraulic Power Steering while the Changan Alsvin is equipped with Electronic Power Steering. Changan is featured with 7-inch Floating Display in it and on the other side Saga sedan comes with Standard Audio System. Saga has fabric seats and Changan comes with Faux Leather Seats in it.

Safety

As far as the safety of the both sedan, the Hill Start Assist, Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, and Front Parking Sensors are absent in them while both cars come with Dual Airbags, ABS + EBD, Brake Assist and Rear Parking Sensors making them equal in terms of safety.

Price

The Changan is currently offering its sedan, Changan Alsvin at the price tag of Rs 2,199,000, on the other side, the Proton Saga sedan is newly launched car and its price is Rs 1,975,000. It means that the Saga sedan Rs 200,000 cheaper than Changan Alsvin.
