The automaker has also started to import the car as CBU units in Pakistan. Finally, the great news for the fans of Proton X70 is that the Proton has now brought the last batch the CBU units of X70 in Pakistan.
According to reports, a few hours ago, the consignment with 100 CBU units shipped for Pakistan from Malaysia. The Malaysian auto giant will now start the local assembling of the Proton X70 SUVs in Pakistan.
Delivery Issues
During global COVID-19 crises, like other companies the Malaysian Auto giant Proton has also been a victim of late delivery of its vehicles due to strict COVID-19 restrictions in Malaysia by the government. The customers have been waiting for the arrival of the X70 for a long time and now the government has relaxed the sanctions and company is now delivering the CBU units of SUV Proton X70.
According to an official statement of CEO Proton, Roslan Abdullah on late delivery:
“Despite Covid-19 severely affecting our project timelines in Pakistan, demand for Proton models in the country remains high for both the Saga and X70 attracting a strong following. Al-Haj has received 2,500 orders for the Saga and over 2,000 orders for the X70, so we wish to thank the customers for their belief in our products and especially their patience and understanding over the delays in receiving their cars,”

The reports hint that, after arrival of the last batch of CBU units of X70 SUV in Pakistan, the Proton is set to start the local assembling of the X70 at Proton’s Greenfield Factory which is now functioning in Karachi.
