If you consider the expenses being occurred on buying the new car, you will take great care of your present car, which will last longer and you need to follow the steps in order to delay the expiry date of your car. You can follow simple steps to increase lifespan of your car. You can note few of them. 

Adhere to your car’s service schedule – nobody has enough time to spend in the auto repair shop but they need to take great care of their car and they need to comply with the proposed maintenance of their car. They need to focus on the regular service visits and follow the service schedule in the manual of the car for oil changes and filter replacements. You need to have the regular inspection of the parts of car like coolant, battery, radiator hoses, timing belt and spark plugs. The regular maintenance will extend the life of the car and also increase the resale value of your car. If you want to resell your car, you can show the proof of maintenance of your car to your potential buyers.  

Don’t ignore red flags – When there is any problem in your car, it will give you indication and they will be included with strange noises, pulling to one side, shaking or make the humming noise. The small problems can spiral out of control and ensure that you car has been serviced, when you notice these problems.  

Clean your engine at least once a year – Most of the car owners spend lot of time to clean and beautify the interior and exterior of the car but they neglect the engine of the car. If you do not clean the engine from time to time, it can be added with dirt and grime. The accumulation of the dirt can cause engine to run hot and it results in extra wear and reduces the lifespan of the tires of the car. You can check the problems like oil leaks, when the engine of the car is covered with grime. 

Drive your car once a week – if you drive the car, you will pull stress on the engine and if you do not drive your car, it can be very troublesome. If you have a car and you do not take it out, you should drive your car once a week to keep the engine of the car in good condition.
