Sony and Honda New Electric Car

Sony deride recently in a short clip on YouTube that Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) will reveal its improvement in the joint-EV development project at CES 2023.

Since their association in the spring of 2022, there are two companies that are working on the project at a fast move. Deride unveiled small pieces of the electric vehicle (EV), and suggested that SHM may showcase an original car at the event. The date is set for January 4, 2023, during the Customer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

As per the last updates, Sony will focus on the car's documentary and entertainment systems, consisting of the capability to watch movies and play games on the built-in PlayStation 5.

Honda, on another side, will use its car manufacturing skills to develop the EV’s mechanicals and chassis. Honda owners will also sell and service the approaching EV.

The new SHM EV will hit the road in 2026, with the first market that serves Japan. It will be amazing to see how it takes part with the likes of Tesla, Lucid, Rivian, Ford, GM, Stellantis, Volkswagen, Audi Group, etc.
