Last year's Tokyo Mobility Show teased the upcoming release of the all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift, signaling its intention to replace the current model. Set for a formal launch on May 9th in India, this fourth-generation Swift boasts five variants and introduces nine vibrant new colors. With engine details and specifications leaked ahead of the official launch, let's delve into what this revamped Swift hatchback has in store.

Swift Dimensions and Variants

Available in five variants - LXi, VXi, VXi (O), ZXi, and ZXi+ - the new Suzuki Swift presents slight alterations in dimensions. Stretching 15mm longer than its predecessor, it measures 3860mm in length and 1735mm in width. However, it stands 35mm shorter at 1495mm in height. Retaining a wheelbase of 2450mm and a gross weight ranging from 1365-1389kg, its fuel capacity remains steady at 37 liters.

Engine Upgrades

Reports suggest a shift to the more fuel-efficient Z series engine, promising a remarkable fuel economy of 25.72 km/l, outperforming the current K series engine.

Enhanced Features

Equipped with modern amenities, the new Swift boasts LED fog lamps, a 9-inch infotainment system, Type C charging port, wireless charger, Arkamys sound system, and SmartPlay Pro. Safety takes center stage with hints of a 5-star NCAP rating and standard provision of six airbags, positioning the Swift as a safety leader among hatchbacks.

Booking Details and Color Choices

While Maruti Suzuki has yet to disclose the official pricing, enthusiasts can secure their Swift with a nominal booking fee of 11,000 INR. The range of color options expands with nine choices, including the captivating hues of Luster Blue and Novel Orange, offering customers an array of personalized selections.
