Suzuki Unveils Hybrid-Equipped European Swift
Following its debut in Japan, Suzuki has unveiled the all-new Swift tailored for European markets, featuring distinct modifications. Notably, the Euro-spec model showcases variations in the front design, with a thinner mesh pattern on the grille and the absence of chromic surrounds, presenting a cleaner and wider appearance due to the removal of fog lamps.

Internally, the European version mirrors the Japanese model, boasting a multi-function slat-bottom steering wheel, a 9-inch central touch screen, and gray plastic trim contrasting with a chrome strip. Unique to the European variant are optional features, such as the automatic model's electric brake with an Auto Brake Hold function, while standard models retain the traditional handbrake lever.
Under the hood, the European Swift is powered by the same Z12E DOHC 16-valve 3-cylinder engine as its Japanese counterpart. However, Suzuki has not yet disclosed details about the electric motor accompanying the mild hybrid setup or any adjustments to the engine for the European market. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual or CVT.
As the new Suzuki Swift prepares for its European launch by March 2024, further information about the model, including its hybrid system and engine tuning, is anticipated to be unveiled closer to the release date.
