Tesla Joins Hand With Samsung To Get 5nm Chips For Its EVs

The renowned American Automaker, Tesla is set to manufacture full self-driving FSD electric cars. For this, the automaker has collaborated with South Korean tech giant, Samsung that will provide the 5nm chips that will be used in the electric vehicles.

The new 5nm technology for Tesla cars is currently is in the Research and Development stage at the Samsung Foundry Division. The production of these chips is expected to start by the end of 2021 and will be introduced sometimes in 2022.

The 5nm is the top end technology and a few numbers of companies are capable of producing these chips and no doubt, Samsung is on the top of the list among them all. That’s why Tesla selected Samsung as hardware partner to make the dream true.
