Can a Clogged Radiator o r Rusty Coolant Be Causing My Khyber to Overheat?

I haven’t flushed the radiator in a long time, and the coolant looks brownish. Could a clogged radiator o r old coolant be reducing cooling efficiency and causing the engine to overheat?

Absolutely. Over time, radiators can get clogged with rust, dirt, and mineral deposits, especially if you use tap water instead of proper coolant.

Signs:

Coolant looks brown o r rusty

Radiator cap o r tank has sludge o r gunk

Heater inside car doesn’t work due to poor coolant flow

What to Do:

Perform a radiator flush with radiator cleaner

Replace with a good 50/50 coolant mix ZIC, Caltex, Toyota

If the radiator is badly clogged, consider replacing it

Cost Estimate:

Radiator flush: PKR 1,000–1,500

New radiator: PKR 3,000–5,000
