Can a Failing Alternator Cause My Suzuki Khyber to Stall While Driving?

My Khyber sometimes stalls in traffic o r at low speeds. Could a weak o r dead alternator be causing the engine to lose power, and how does it affect the ignition and fuel system?

Yes, it can. A failing alternator can’t supply enough power to run the ignition and fuel systems once the battery is drained. This can lead to random stalling, especially at low speeds o r while idling.

How It Happens:

The battery provides backup power until it’s drained

Once drained, spark plugs and fuel injectors stop functioning properly

Car stalls and won’t restart

What to Watch For:

Dashboard lights flicker before the car dies

Car cranks slowly o r not at all when trying to restart

Fix:

Replace o r rebuild the alternator before it causes complete engine shutdown
