Can Driving With Low Transmission Fluid Permanently Damage Suzuki Khyber’s Gearbox?

If the transmission fluid in a Suzuki Khyber s below safe levels due to leaks, can it lead to irreversible damage to the gearbox components? What are the critical parts at risk, and how quickly does damage occur in such cases?

Yes. In fact, driving with low o r no transmission fluid is one of the fastest ways to ruin a Suzuki Khyber’s gearbox. Without proper fluid, there’s no lubrication o r heat control, leading to extreme metal-on-metal wear inside the gearbox.

Critical Parts at Risk:

Input/output shafts

Gear teeth and synchronizers

Bearings and selector forks

Differential if part of the same assembly

How Quickly Can Damage Happen?

If fluid is extremely low, damage can begin within minutes of hard driving.

Even short city trips in this condition will accelerate wear and tear.

What to Do:

Stop driving immediately if you suspect low fluid.

Tow the car to a workshop if necessary.

Check fluid levels and refill if safe to do so temporarily.

Identify and repair the leak before resuming regular driving.
