Could a Faulty Alternator Be the Reason My Khyber’s Battery Keeps Dying?

I’ve replaced the battery twice, but it keeps losing charge after a few days. Could the alternator not be charging the battery properly while driving, and how do I test that?

Yes, a weak o r faulty alternator may not be charging the battery properly while youre driving. The battery then gets drained slowly until the car won’t start.

Symptoms of a Faulty Alternator:

Battery light stays on o r flickers while driving

Dim headlights o r dashboard lights

Car starts with difficulty o r stalls randomly

How to Confirm:

Use a multimeter to check voltage across battery terminals:

Engine off: ~12.4V

Engine running: Should rise to 13.5V–14.5V

If voltage doesn’t increase, the alternator is likely the issue

Solution:

Repair o r replace the alternator cost in Pakistan: PKR 2,000–7,000 depending on condition and brand
