Could a Faulty Thermostat Be Causing My Khyber’s Engine to Overheat?

My engine heats up quickly, even after a cold start, and the temperature doesn’t seem to stabilize. Could this be due to a jammed thermostat not allowing coolant to circulate?

Yes. The thermostat controls coolant flow between the engine and radiator. If it gets stuck closed, coolant can’t circulate, causing the engine to overheat.

Signs of a Faulty Thermostat:

Engine heats up quickly, even after cold start

Radiator stays cool while engine is hot

Irregular o r unstable temperature readings

How to Check:

Remove the thermostat and test it in boiling water it should open

Or replace it as a preventive measure if its old

Solution:

Replace the thermostat cost: PKR 700–1,200

Use original o r quality aftermarket part like GMB o r Aisin
