Excessive smoke from the exhaust can indicate several issues related to the engine o r the emission system. The color of the smoke can help diagnose the issue:

Blue smoke usually indicates burning oil, which can be caused by worn-out piston rings, valve seals, o r a malfunctioning PCV Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve.

Black smoke typically points to too much fuel being burned due to problems like a clogged air filter, faulty fuel injectors, o r an incorrect air-fuel mixture.

White smoke can indicate coolant leakage into the combustion chamber, possibly due to a blown head gasket o r damaged cylinder head.

Solutions:

Blue smoke: Check the oil level and ensure that there are no oil leaks. If oil consumption is high, you may need to replace piston rings o r valve seals.

Black smoke: Inspect the air filter and fuel injectors for clogs o r faults. If needed, replace the air filter, clean o r replace the fuel injectors, and have the carburetor o r fuel system checked for proper air-fuel mixture.

White smoke: If coolant is entering the combustion chamber, inspect the head gasket and cylinder head for damage. Replacing the gasket o r repairing the cylinder head may be necessary.
