How Can I Detect and Fix External Oil Leaks in My Suzuki Khyber?

Even without puddles under the car, oil seems to disappear quickly. Could there be slow external leaks from gaskets o r seals? What are the most common leak points in a Khyber engine?

Even if there’s no visible oil puddle, slow leaks can occur from various engine parts, leading to oil loss over time.

Common Leak Points in Khyber:

Valve cover gasket

Oil pan gasket

Oil filter o r oil drain bolt

Distributor O-ring

Detection Tips:

Check under the engine and around the oil filter for wetness o r stains

Place cardboard under the car overnight to spot leaks

Monitor oil level weekly to track loss

Fix:

Replace worn-out gaskets o r seals most are affordable and widely available in Pakistan

Tighten loose bolts especially the oil filter and sump bolt

Avoid overfilling oil, as it can increase pressure and cause leaks
