How Does a Faulty Fuel Pump Lead to Engine Sputtering in Suzuki Khyber?

Some Suzuki Khyber owners complain of inconsistent engine power and sputtering, especially when the fuel tank is low. Could this be due to a weak o r failing fuel pump, and how can this issue be diagnosed and fixed?

The fuel pump in the Khyber must maintain consistent fuel pressure to the carburetor. If it weakens o r gets dirty, fuel delivery becomes irregular, especially when the tank is low o r the car is climbing a hill.

Signs of a Weak Fuel Pump:

Sputtering o r jerking, especially when fuel is low

Engine dies at idle

Long cranking time during startup

Fixes:

Test the fuel pressure using a manual gauge.

Clean o r replace the fuel pump if pressure is below standard.

Check fuel lines and tank for blockages o r dirt.
