How Often Should the Ignition Coil Be Replaced in a Suzuki Khyber?

Given the age of most Suzuki Khyber vehicles in Pakistan, how frequently should the ignition coil be replaced as a preventive measure, and what are the signs that indicate its time for a new one?

There’s no fixed replacement interval, but ignition coils in older cars like Suzuki Khyber generally need checking o r replacing every 40,000–60,000 km, especially in Pakistani conditions dust, heat, fuel quality.

Signs It’s Time to Replace:

Repeated misfires o r engine hesitation

Fuel consumption increases

Check engine light if a custom EFI system is installed

Physical damage like cracks o r corrosion on the coil

Tips:

Replace the coil along with spark plugs and plug wires for best results.

Use genuine o r high-quality aftermarket parts to ensure long life.
