Is a Blocked Carburetor Filter the Reason My Khyber Is Hard to Start?

My Khyber takes time to start, especially after being parked for a day. It runs on a carburetor system. Could a clogged carburetor o r inline fuel filter be restricting fuel delivery during ignition?

Yes. A clogged inline fuel filter o r dirt buildup in the carburetor’s internal filter can lead to hard starting, especially after the car has been sitting overnight.

Symptoms:

Delayed start especially cold starts

Engine dies immediately after starting

Engine hesitation during idle o r low RPMs

Why this happens:

Dirt in petrol

Rust from old fuel tanks

Moisture buildup in the carburetor system

Solution:

Clean o r replace the inline fuel filter and check carburetor filter mesh

Service carburetor if problem persists

Inline filter cost: PKR 200–300
