Is a Weak Compressor Causing My Khyber’s AC to Blow Warm Air?

The AC used to cool fine but now only works slightly when driving at high speeds. Is this a sign of a failing AC compressor, and what symptoms confirm that it’s not compressing gas properly?

Yes, a weak o r failing AC compressor can lead to reduced cooling o r no cooling at all. If the compressor isn’t compressing the refrigerant properly, the gas won’t circulate, and you’ll only get warm air.

Symptoms of a Weak Compressor:

AC only cools slightly at high speed when engine RPM is high

Clicking noise from the compressor area

AC clutch not engaging when turned on

What to Do:

Get the compressor electrically and mechanically tested

Replacing the compressor may cost around PKR 4,000–7,000 used o r PKR 10,000+ new

Make sure to flush the AC lines before replacing the compressor
