Is a Weak Radiator Fan the Reason My Suzuki Khyber Is Overheating?

The engine temperature in my Khyber keeps going up, especially when the AC is on. The radiator fan seems slower than usual. Can a weak o r non-working fan cause overheating in hot weather?

Yes. A weak o r slow radiator fan cannot pull enough air through the radiator, especially in hot Pakistani weather o r with the AC on.

Symptoms:

Engine temperature rises with AC on

Overheats in idle o r slow traffic

Fan sounds slower o r doesn’t turn on at all

Common Reasons:

Worn-out fan motor

Weak battery o r low alternator voltage

Faulty fan relay o r sensor

Solution:

Replace the fan motor o r upgrade to a high-speed fan

Check electrical wiring and relay

Cost: PKR 2,000–4,000 for new fan motor
