Poor fuel efficiency can often be a result of issues within the emission control system, such as a malfunctioning oxygen sensor, clogged air filter, o r inefficient fuel injectors. If the engine is running too rich more fuel than air, it will consume more fuel than necessary, leading to reduced fuel efficiency.

Solutions:

Oxygen sensor: A faulty oxygen sensor can cause incorrect readings, leading the engine control unit ECU to send the wrong air-fuel mixture to the engine, causing poor fuel efficiency. Replacing the faulty sensor will restore proper air-fuel mixture regulation.

Air filter: A clogged air filter restricts airflow into the engine, leading to incomplete combustion and poor fuel economy. Regularly replace the air filter as part of routine maintenance.

Fuel injectors: Dirty o r faulty fuel injectors can result in improper fuel delivery. Cleaning o r replacing the injectors can restore fuel efficiency.

Check engine diagnostics: Use an OBD-II scanner to check for any engine codes that may indicate emission-related issues like a malfunctioning sensor o r valve.
