Why Does My Mehran Take Time to Start in the Morning o r in Cold Weather?

My Suzuki Mehran often struggles to start in the morning, especially during winter. Sometimes I have to crank it several times. Is this a battery issue, plug problem, o r something with the fuel system?

Hard cold starts are common in Mehrans due to:

Weak battery: In cold weather, batteries lose power, and Mehran needs a strong crank to start.

Choked carburetor o r weak choke function: In carburetor models, the manual o r auto choke may not work properly, making cold starts harder.

Worn spark plugs: If plugs are fouled o r worn, combustion wont happen smoothly.

Low fuel pressure o r dirty fuel line: If fuel takes time to reach the engine, it delays starting.

🛠 Fix:
Use a strong maintenance-free battery with good cold cranking amps CCA.

Clean o r rebuild the carburetor, and make sure the choke is functional.

Replace spark plugs and check ignition coil and plug wires for wear.

For EFI models, check fuel pump pressure.
