Why does my Suzuki Khyber feel heavy and sluggish after installing CNG, affecting performance?

Originally, the Khyber was designed to be lightweight for better fuel efficiency and pickup. However, after installing the CNG kit, the car feels much heavier and struggles to accelerate. How does the extra weight of the CNG cylinder affect the car’s performance, and are there modifications I can do to reduce the impact on speed and fuel efficiency?

When installing a CNG kit, the added weight of the CNG cylinder which can weigh around 50–60 kg significantly impacts the cars overall weight and weight distribution. This added weight, especially if the car is already light, results in slower acceleration and a general feeling of sluggishness. The additional load on the rear axle can also reduce the cars pickup and fuel efficiency, making it feel less responsive. To mitigate this issue, you can consider tuning the engine to account for the CNG setup, ensuring the fuel-air mixture is optimized. Upgrading suspension components o r replacing old tires might also help improve the overall feel of the car and offset the extra weight.
