Why Does My Suzuki Khyber’s Battery Die Overnight Even After Full Charge?

I recently charged my Khyber’s battery, but it keeps dying overnight. There are no lights o r accessories left on. What could be draining the battery when the car is off?

If your battery is dying overnight, even when it was recently charged, its likely that something in the car is drawing power even when the ignition is off. This is called a parasitic drain.

Common Causes:

A stuck relay o r switch e.g., trunk light o r glovebox light stays on

Aftermarket accessories like a local alarm o r stereo system

Faulty wiring causing a small short circuit

Old o r degraded battery that can’t hold charge

What to Do:

Disconnect the negative battery terminal at night to test

Use a multimeter to check for current draw when the car is off

Have an auto electrician inspect for hidden drains in the system
