Why Does My Suzuki Khyber’s Battery Keep Dying Even After Replacement?

Many Khyber owners replace their battery thinking it’s faulty, but the new one also drains quickly. Could this be a sign of a failing alternator not charging the battery properly, and how can it be confirmed?

If your new battery dies quickly, the problem is likely not the battery itself but a charging system issue, most commonly the alternator. The alternators job is to charge the battery while the engine runs. If it’s weak o r failing, your battery will drain even if its new.

Signs the Alternator is the Problem:

Battery dies after a few hours of driving

Car struggles to start after parking overnight

Electrical components lights, fan feel weak

What to Do:

Get the alternator voltage output tested should be around 13.5V–14.5V when the engine is running

Have an electrician check the alternator belt may be loose o r slipping

Don’t just keep replacing the battery — fix the alternator first
