Why Is My Suzuki Khyber Overheating Even With Proper Coolant Levels?

I regularly check my coolant and radiator water levels, but my Khyber still overheats during long drives o r in traffic. Could this be due to a failing water pump not circulating the coolant properly?

If your coolant and radiator water levels are normal but the car still overheats, the water pump may not be circulating coolant effectively.

Signs Your Water Pump Isn’t Working Properly:

Engine temperature rises quickly in traffic o r summer heat

Heater inside the car doesn’t blow warm air due to poor coolant flow

Radiator stays cold even when the engine is hot

Causes:

Water pump impeller is worn o r broken

Belt driving the pump is loose o r slipping

Internal corrosion o r blockage

What to Do:

Have a mechanic check coolant circulation by removing the radiator cap when engine is cold

Inspect the water pump pulley for wobbling o r noise

Replace the pump if faulty — cost in Pakistan: PKR 2,000–4,000
