Why Is the Paint on My Suzuki Khyber Fading So Quickly?

Many Suzuki Khyber owners in Pakistan notice that the car’s paint fades o r loses its shine, especially on the roof and bonnet. Is this due to the age of the vehicle, poor-quality original paint, o r environmental factors like sunlight and pollution?

Paint fading is one of the most common issues in older Suzuki Khyber models, especially those exposed to the sun regularly. The Khyber’s factory paint was not designed with long-term UV protection like modern vehicles.

Common Causes:

Strong sunlight and high UV exposure especially in Pakistan’s climate

Oxidation of the top clear coat over time

Lack of waxing o r protective coatings

Use of strong detergents o r petrol to clean the body

Solutions:

Apply polish and wax regularly to protect the paint.

Use a car cover when parked in open areas.

Consider a clear coat restoration o r a ceramic coating for long-term shine.

If fading is severe, a partial o r full respray may be necessary.
