Why Is There Rust o r White Deposit Around My Khyber’s Water Pump Area?

I noticed some rust and white powdery buildup around the water pump housing and bolts. Is this a sign of an old o r failing water pump in my Khyber, and what should be done?

This buildup is often a sign of a slow leak o r coolant seepage over time, especially in cars using tap water instead of proper coolant.

What It Means:

Rust = water corrosion from inside the pump

White o r green deposits = dried coolant from minor leaks

Consequences:

Leaks may worsen under pressure when engine is hot

Reduced pump efficiency and risk of overheating

Recommended Action:

Clean the area and monitor over a few days

If signs return, get the pump and gasket replaced
