Toyota, Suzuki, and Daihatsu have joined forces to develop mini-commercial vans powered by all-electric power trains. These electric vehicle (EV) prototypes will be unveiled at an upcoming exhibition focused on achieving carbon neutrality in the automotive industry. Organized by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) and coinciding with the G7 Hiroshima Summit, the event aims to showcase the progress made in sustainable transportation. The Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation (CJPT) also provided input to ensure the mini-commercial vans have optimal specifications for efficient last-mile logistics.

Expected Cruising Range and Ongoing Development

The expected cruising range per charge for these vans is approximately 200 kilometers. Further development is currently underway to ensure that the vehicles meet the specific needs of customers in the delivery industry.
