Changan Unveils Deepal EV Tomorrow

On August 16, 2024, Changan Motors Limited (MCML) will unveil its groundbreaking electric vehicle (EV) brand, Deepal, at Dolmen Mall Clifton in Karachi. The event, starting at 11:00 AM, will be streamed live on Changan's official Facebook page. Attendees will get an exclusive look at Deepal’s new EV lineup and learn about the company's plans to overcome major hurdles to widespread EV adoption in Pakistan, such as range concerns, charging infrastructure, and nationwide support services.



The showcase will include the debut of two new car models: the Deepal Sedan and SUV. These vehicles represent a collaborative effort between Changan, Huawei, and CATL. From August 16 to 25, visitors to Dolmen Mall will have the opportunity to experience and test drive both vehicles.
At a recent preview, the interiors of the Deepal S07 and L07 were revealed, showcasing a blend of futuristic design and cutting-edge features.

Deepal L07

  • Performance:
    • Power: 250HP with 320Nm torque
    • Battery: 66.8 kWh
    • Range: 540 km
    • Charging: From 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes
    • Acceleration: 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds
  • Interior:
    • The L07’s cabin is designed to compete with the SL03 sedan. It focuses on advanced technology and features such as:
      • 6-inch infotainment display
      • Augmented reality head-up display
      • Additional LCD instrument cluster
      • Three-spoke steering wheel
      • Dual wireless phone chargers
      • Cup holders

Deepal S07

  • Performance:
    • Power: 250HP with 320Nm torque
    • Battery: 66.8 kWh
    • Range: 485 km
    • Charging: From 30% to 80% in just 35 minutes
    • Acceleration: 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds
  • Interior:
    • The S07 features a two-tone cabin in dark and light grey. Notable interior elements include:
      • Dual wireless phone chargers
      • Cup holders
      • D-shaped steering wheel
      • Head-up display in place of a traditional instrument cluster
      • Button-operated door handles
      • Air vents for the rear seats
      • Two USB ports
      • Centre headrest
